Hi, my wonderful families! I spent a lot of time in the sunshine today and had some time to process the Governor's decision. I am heartbroken. I love your kids so much and I cannot believe this is how our school year is going to end. I promise we will get together when we are able to and celebrate this year!
This new adventure of distance learning may be tricky, but we will stay connected and continue our learning, despite the circumstances. What that looks like, I'm not sure yet. The district is going to let us know next week what that will be. I am looking forward to trying some fun activities and lessons together! We can do this!
Next week you will receive a choice board with activities for ELA and Math. Pick some activities that sound fun to you and let me know what you did by posting on Seesaw! Try to do one ELA and one Math activity each day, if you can!
I am planning to have weekly Zoom meetings with our class. There will be two sessions every Tuesday--one AM and PM, so that I can hopefully connect with everyone every week and you can see your friends! Please sign up for ONE session each week (either AM or PM) so we can all stay connected. I will continue reading from of our read aloud and we will share how things are going. I plan to have a different topic each week. I'll keep you posted on that! :) April Zoom Calls Sign-up
I am here and happy to help with whatever you need. If your child is struggling and needs some 1:1 attention, please let me know! I would be happy to Zoom with just him or her. I will also be available to help with learning over Zoom, if that would be helpful.
I hope you're having a great week and I look forward to "seeing" everyone on Zoom on Tuesday!! Get outside, enjoy the sunshine, love on your family, and keep smiling!
Lots of Hugs!!
