Happy Husky Hustle Friday! We had a blast this afternoon!
LOTS of info in this edition!!
- We have a field trip on November 1 to the Howell Theater. We are going to see the movie version of the book we read earlier in the year, The Boxcar Children! Permission Slips are in your child's Take-Home folders. I will do a random drawing next week for chaperones. Please return slips and $10 as soon as possible! Thank you!
- October 27 is the Hutchings Trunk-or Treat! Our grade level is putting together a Squishmallow Basket to raffle off! All the money earned from raffle tickets will go to our classrooms! The information is in your child's take-home folder, if you are interested in participating! A raffle ticket will be put into the drawing on your child's behalf, if they bring in a donation! :)
- Book orders are coming home today! Orders are due online by Thursday, October 10. Make sure to check out the 4-day sale happening NOW! All orders help our classroom receive new books! clubs.scholastic.com Class code: GZKBK
- You can still donate to the Husky Hustle! This is our big fundrasier this year! Keep those donations coming! Help keep our class in the lead for 2nd grade to earn the class party!
- We still need a parent representative to attend the PTO meeting on October 7. If you are available, please let me know!
- We are having a BOO BREAKFAST for our Halloween Celebration the morning of October 31. Students may wear costumes to school, enjoy our Boo Breakfast, then change before morning recess. We will be doing other Halloween crafts and activities throughout the day, too! It should be a fun day! The sign-up sheet for donations will be coming next week.

Husky Hustle!
Thank you to everyone who has donated so far and is helping us reach our goal for the Husky Hustle Fundraiser! We have 14 days left for donations and are officially at 84% of our goal! If every student donates just $12 we will have no trouble reaching our goal. This money is used for student field trips, yearbooks, teacher supplies, student/school events, etc. We really want to make this fundraiser a success to ensure we are able to give back to our wonderful school!

- Please note: We do not celebrate birthdays with edible treats in 2nd grade. You are welcome to send in a pencil, small toy, or trinket for your child to pass out, if you wish! We will make sure their day is special regardless! 🎉
