We are having a BOO BREAKFAST for our Halloween Celebration the morning of October 31. Students may wear costumes to school, enjoy our Boo Breakfast, then change before morning recess. We will be doing other Halloween crafts and activities throughout the day, too! It should be a fun day!
A few reminders:
- We have a field trip on November 1 to the Howell Theater. We are going to see the movie version of the book we read earlier in the year, The Boxcar Children! Permission Slips are due ASAP! Chaperones will be selected and annouced next week.
- October 27 is the Hutchings Trunk-or Treat! Our grade level is putting together a Squishmallow Basket to raffle off! All the money earned from raffle tickets will go to our classrooms! A raffle ticket will be put into the drawing on your child's behalf, if they bring in a donation! :)
- I am still looking for a parent representative to attend PTO meetings. Please let me know if you are willing to serve in this capacity!
- If you would like to volunteer in our classroom this year, please make sure you have filled out all the paperwork and have been cleared in the office before signing up! Here is the sign-up for Classroom Volunteers!
- Please note: We do not celebrate birthdays with edible treats in 2nd grade. You are welcome to send in a pencil, small toy, or trinket for your child to pass out, if you wish! We will make sure their day is special regardless! 🎉

Husky Hustle Mission Accomplished!
Thank you to everyone who has donated so far and helped us reach our goal for the Husky Hustle Fundraiser! We have 1 day left for donations and are officially just over our goal at $20,847! Fundraising ends 10/11 at 11:59pm. Our total fundraising goal for this school year is $25,000, every dollar we raise on this fundraiser allows us to focus more on fun than on fundraising for the rest of the year! This money is used for student field trips, yearbooks, teacher supplies, student/school events, etc. We really want to make this fundraiser a success to ensure we are able to give back to our wonderful school!

Candy donations are now being accepted in the office! We are also in need of trunks to pass out candy. If you would like to decorate one, please sign up HERE.
Teacher Raffle Baskets
Teachers are actively collecting donations for their raffle baskets. 100% of the proceeds will go directly into the classrooms. Please consider donating what you can to help your child's classroom.
