Mrs. Burch's Weekly Update (10/17)

Happy Friday! There is NO school for students on Monday, October 20. I hope you enjoy the long weekend and the fall colors! I took this picture of the beautiful entry into our school this morning! I hope you have a minute to enjoy the beauty this weekend, too! 🧡

Halloween is in two weeks! If you would like to contribute to the Halloween Fun, please check out our Halloween Sign-up! We are going to do some crafts, put on our costumes and have snacks after morning recess, then enjoy the Monsters Inc. movie and popcorn in the afternoon. Thank you in advance for your donations! I really appreciate you!!

If you would like to help in our classroom this year, please see our Classroom Volunteer Sign-up! Make sure to fill out the volunteer form and turn into the office BEFORE you volunteer! Please limit sign-ups to twice per month, so all parents have a chance. Spots will become available 60 days out, so make sure to check back if everything is currently filled.

Please note:

• We do not celebrate birthdays with edible treats in 2nd grade. You are welcome to send in a pencil or small trinket for your child to pass out if you would like, but I will make his/her day special regardless! Thank you for understanding!
• Don't forget: students need a healthy snack and a secure water bottle at school each day!

*Notes from PTO*

Join us for a night of Halloween fun hosted by the PTO and Mrs. Shultz on 10/24 from 5:30-7:30pm! We will have dancing, activity stations for those kids who don't want to dance, concessions (cash only), and more! Come dressed in a costume and get an extra entry into our prize raffle drawing! Mrs. Shultz has collected a lot of goodies for our raffle drawing. Entries will be $1 cash only.

The event is free to attend but please consider any amount of donation to help with our music room needs. This can be cash or we will have a QR code for donations around the event.
