Mrs. Burch's Weekly Update (4/28)

Hi, families!

Let's TACO 'bout our great readers!! We are going to celebrate our super second grade readers with a little fiesta on May 5 in the afternoon! Our awesome PTO is providing tacos for our kids from Taco Bell for meeting our grade level goal. We are also going to have chips and salsa! It should be a fun reading fiesta! Please let me know if you do not want your child to participate. Thank you!!

Permission Slips came home for our Howell Walking Field Trip on May 22! Please return your permission slip and $4 as soon as possible. Thank you!

The Hutchings Carnival is May 19th! We are putting together a carnival basket of FIDGETS!!! The kiddos were really excited about this! Please send in any and all FIDGET donations (big and small!) to help make our basket awesome!! We are also in need of somesort of container to hold it all. We only have three donations so far! Mrs. Mahler has volunteered to put it all together! Thank you!! Please send in all donations by Friday, May 12, at the latest! If you would rather make a monitary donation, I will shop for items we need. Thank you in advance for all your donations!

Just a reminder--as the weather gets nicer, the school dress code requires shorts to the bottom of your child's fingertips when their arms are at their sides. Also, no spagehtti straps and tank tops, unless the straps are at least two fingers in width. And no flip flops! They are not safe for the playground. Thank you for your cooperation!

We celebrate birthdays with non-edible treats in 2nd grade due to numerous allergies! Items like pencils, erasers, and small trinkets are great items for treats! I will still make sure we sing and make your child's day special. Thank you for your cooperation!
