Hi, parents!! We had a great week! We finished our first Reading unit! I'm so proud of all the hard work your kiddos are doing when it comes to reading!
Please Note:
- Brag Bags are coming home today! This is weekend reading homework! Their homework is to read at least 15 minutes over the weekend. If they read 15 minutes each day, they will earn a green raffle ticket for our weekly drawing for each day they read 15 minutes. Please make sure they're reading out loud to you and are retelling you the story using their bookmark (somebody, wanted, but, so, then). Please sign and return on Monday!!
- Check out our pics from the Color Run!
- PTO needs volunteers for the yearbook. If you're able to help, please comment on the Hutchings PTO facebook page or let me know. I'll get you in touch with the right person.
- Book Orders are coming home today! They are due next Friday, October 11. Please order online: clubs.scholastic.com with our class code: GZKBK.
- Our Boo Breakfast (Halloween Party) will be from 9-10am the morning of Halloween! Please visit the sign-up sheet if you would like to send in items for the party. Boo Breakfast Sign-up Sheet
- As for Halloween costumes--Please remember there are NO masks, NO gore, NO weapons, NO exception. This is straight from Mr. Moore. Nothing that covers your face can be worn at school. We need to be able to see your face very easily. Face paint that is not bloody/gory is okay.
- Please send in Field Trip Permission Slips ASAP, if you have not returned them already. If your child is NOT going to join us for the field trip, please let me know that, as well.
- If you would like to volunteer in our classroom, please see the sign up sheet for available slots! Volunteer Sign-up Sheet **Make sure your volunteer background check paperwork has been turned in to the office. That must be completed at least a week before you can volunteer in the classroom!
