Mrs. Burch's Weekly Update (4/10)

We had a fun week back from Spring Break! I hope you all had a nice Spring Break, too! ☀️ The kids loved Silly Sock day on Wendesday! It was fun to see all the different silly socks! 🧦

Chaperones for the Community Theater field trip to Seussical Jr. on 4/14 are Mrs. Vaughen, Mrs. Keyser, and Mrs. Lucier. We will be back before lunch, so students do not need a sack lunch. It should be a fun show!

Book Orders are due by Monday, April 13! Please make sure orders are submitted online by noon. All your scholastic orders help us earn free books for our classroom! Thank you for your support!

Students completed a Circus directed drawing in library this week. Check out some of their creations! 

Our field trip to the Botanical Gardens has been changed to 5/27. More info coming home early May!

Please note:

• Senior Survior has begun! Please check out the list of all the fun activities the Senior Survivors are doing to fundraise! Thank you for your support!
• Check out our Classroom Volunteer Sign-up for open volunteer slots! Please make sure to fill out the volunteer form and turn into the office before you volunteer. Thank you!! 
• We do not celebrate birthdays with edible treats in 2nd grade. You are welcome to send in a pencil or small trinket for your child to pass out if you would like, but I will make his/her day special regardless! Thank you for understanding!
• Don't forget: students need a healthy snack and a secure water bottle at school each day! We're having an issue with tops that don't close tightly OR that pop open easily. Please check your child's water bottle to make sure it's easy for them to latch. Thank you!

The next PTO meeting is April 13 at 6pm in the Hutchings Library. Child care is provided on-site in the library. Please consider joining us and providing input for the end of year activities!

Airborne Night

A dedicated night for Hutchings at Airborne in Brighton is planned for April 16 4-8 p.m. A portion of admissions sales will be donated back to the PTO!
