Happy Valentine's Day! We had a fun afternoon today with our Conversation Heart Math and exchanging valentines! We even watched a little bit of Charlie Brown Valentine, too! 🩷

Please note:
- We do not celebrate birthdays with edible treats in 2nd grade. You are welcome to send in a pencil or small trinket for your child to pass out if you would like, but I will make his/her day special regardless! Thank you for understanding!
- Don't forget: students need a healthy snack and a secure water bottle at school each day! We're having an issue with tops that don't close tightly OR that pop open easily. Please check your child's water bottle to make sure it's easy for them to latch. Thank you!
- If you would like to help in our classroom this year, please see our Classroom Volunteer Sign-up! Make sure to fill out the volunteer form and turn into the office BEFORE you volunteer! Please limit sign-ups to twice per month, so all parents have a chance. Spots will become available 60 days out, so make sure to check back if everything is currently filled.

Aubree's Restaurant Day and Celebrity Server-February 20
A portion of all sales at Aubree's on February 20, 11am-11pm for dine in or carry out, will be donated to the PTO! Stop by to see your favorite Hutchings teachers serving dinner! (*Unfortunately Mrs. Burch will not be able to be a celebrity server that evening.) More details from PTo coming soon!
Donuts with Grownups (M-Z)-February 25, 8-8:30 AM
Join us to enjoy coffee and donuts before school with your kiddos! Please register so the PTO has an accurate headcount.

Due to the snow day on February 6, the Open Swim Night is moved to March 6, 4:30-6:00 PM
The dedicated Hutchings open swim night at the Howell Aquatic Center is on Friday, March 6 from 4:30-6pm. The cost is $6/swimmer and a portion of the sales will come back to the PTO. The school with the most swimmer visits at all open swims through February 28 will win an extra $500!
Light food/snacks will also be available for sale.
