Mrs. Burch's Weekly Update (10/13)

Happy Thursday! Don't forget--there is NO SCHOOL tomorrow or Monday. Enjoy the Fall Break!  

If you have not returned the Boxcar Children Field Trip Permission Slip and $5 donation with your child, please do so ASAP! Chaperones will be announced next week. We will be enjoying popcorn and sprite at the show. If you do NOT want your child to have this snack, please let me know.

If you have any plastic grocery bags you do not need, please send them in! I use them to re-stuff our bean bags and they're getting pretty flat. Thank you!!

I look forward to seeing you at Parent/Teacher Conferences on 10/20 or 10/27. If you did not sign up for a conference, I slotted you into a time. I am planning on in-person conferences, but if you would prefer a zoom conference just let me know! :)

On Halloween, students may wear their costumes over their clothes to school. We will enjoy our Boo Breakfast first thing and students will take off costumes before recess. We will do several Halloween crafts and activities througout the day that day! 👻

        *October 14 & 17--No School (Fall Break)

        *October 20 & 27--Parent/Teacher Conferences

        *October 28--Field Trip to the Historic Howell Theater & UM vs. MSU Spirit Day

        *October 31--Boo Breakfast!

        *November 1--Late Start day (school begins 1.5 hours late, ends same time)

        *November 23-25--No School, Thanksgiving Break!

Reminders:

We celebrate birthdays with non-edible treats in 2nd grade due to numerous allergies! Items like pencils, erasers, and small trinkets are great items for treats! I will still make sure we sing and make your child's day special. Thank you for your cooperation!
