Happy Friday! We had a good week! Students loved playing Fishing for 10 during our math review earlier this week.
We saw Buster the Bus and learned about Bus Safety on Wednesday morning.
We had our first math assessment and spelling assessment this week. Please make sure to review spelling words with your child at home. Help them tap out the sounds and practice orally and writing. We're continuing more adventures of Cat Bandit next week! Reading Fluency homework will be sent home every Monday and is due every Friday. Please make sure to do the one-minute read with your child nightly. This is so important!
I will be out of the classroom a couple times next week for meetings and appointments and I do not always see Seesaw messages before the end of the school day, so please make sure to contact the office if an end-of-day change occurs during the day! They will make sure your child receives the message! Thank you!
The Husky Hustle will be on October 2. Details came home last week in your child's folder! There are lots of prizes to be earned! There is also detailed info on the Hutchings PTO page.

*Please note that we don't celebrate birthdays with edible treats in 2nd grade. You are welcome to send in a pencil or small trinket for your child to pass out if you'd like, but please do not send food/candy. I will make your child's day special regardless! Thank you for understanding!
*Please remind your kiddos to check the lost and found regularly! It will be cleaned out and items donated at the end of every month.
