Mrs. Burch’s Weekly Update (5/15)

We had a great week! We have been talking about nutrition and what foods are healthy and nutritious for our bodies! Ask your kiddos about the great meal posters they made!

Our teacher cadet from the high school, Miss Luci, wrapped up her time with us yesterday. We made her a poster and created flowers of all the things we love about her! We'll miss her helping in our classroom!

Tuesday is our Walking Field Trip!! Students need to wear comfortable closed-toed shoes and dress for the weather! Layers are good if it's chilly I in the morning! They will need a disposable sack lunch for the field trip. We will leave at 9am and will return to school by 2pm. It should be a fun day! 

🚌 Parent Chaperones for the Howell Walking Field Trip on May 19 will be:

Aytes, Blackhurst, Bliss, Boycott, Cooper, Dickson, Dymond, Hamadeh, Hamlin,  Kirkwood, Lai, Lucier, Pennala, Pietila, Sturos, Techlin, and Vaughen.

We are so excited for Field Day on Wednesday, May 20th (rain date is Thursday, May 21st). Please find important information here! 

They are still looking for Volunteers for Field Day on May 20 (rain date 21st)! Only parents volunteering will be allowed at the events.

• We do not celebrate birthdays with edible treats in 2nd grade. You are welcome to send in a pencil or small trinket for your child to pass out if you would like, but I will make his/her day special regardless! Thank you for understanding!
