Happy Friday! We had a great week together! We are learning about Greek Civilizations--ask your kiddos what they have learned, so far! We are also shifting away from weekly spelling tests. We will continue to send home the spelling lists and administer the spelling tests as they come in the curriculum, but they may not be weekly (or every Friday). Remember-other than the tricky words, the words on the spelling lists are decodable, so students should be learning to tap out the sounds to spell their words correctly, no matter when they take their test!

If you haven't had the chance to donate to the Husky Hustle, you still have time! Fundraising for Husky Hustle ends this weekend. If we hit $22,500 by the end of the weekend, we'll do a pajama day next week! Here's the link for one final time for our Husky Hustle Page! Thanks for all your support!
Join Ms. Shultz and your Hutchings friends on Friday, October 24, for Line Dancing and other fall activities in the Hutchings cafeteria! Come in costume and join the fun from 5:30-7:30pm!
Please make sure to sign up for a Fall Parent Teacher Conference! There is only one slot available per student. You will receive a google invite once you have selected your preferred time. If you need to switch your conference to google meet or a phone conference, please let me know before noon on the day of your scheduled conference. Thank you!
If you would like to help in our classroom this year, please see our Classroom Volunteer Sign-up! Make sure to fill out the volunteer form and turn into the office BEFORE you volunteer! Please limit sign-ups to twice per month, so all parents have a chance. Spots will become available 60 days out, so make sure to check back often if everything is currently filled.

Husky Hustle Fundraiser
The Husky Hustle event on October 3 was a great success! We enjoyed seeing the kids have so much fun. A huge thank you to everyone that volunteered and has donated so far.
As a reminder, this is our biggest fundraiser of the year that provides the PTO with a budget to provide year books, field trip funds, and other fun events for the students and teachers throughout the year.
We are so close to our fundraising goal of $20,000. The final day to donate is THIS FRIDAY, OCTOBER 10. Donations can be made online: https://app.99pledges.com/
All student incentive prizes and students who won raffle prizes will receive those when the fundraiser concludes.
Halloween Event
Instead of a Trunk or Treat event this year join Ms. Shultz and the PTO on October 24th from 5:30-7:30pm for a Halloween Line Dancing event! More details to come soon but save the date!

Biggby Fundraiser-Proceeds from sales at the Michigan Ave. Biggby location will be donated to the PTO all day on 10/18.
Rollerama night is 11/6 from 6-9pm. More details will be shared soon!
