Mrs. Burch's Weekly Update (3/3)

Happy Friday!! We had such a fun afternoon! Mrs. Ilacqua and Sergeant Racine came to talk with our second grade classes this afternoon! It was great! They learned about two important public services.

**We need a large family size or two smaller boxes of Lucky Charms for a St. Patrick's Day math activity. If you are able to send in a box, please let me know!

**March is Reading Month! We are encouraging lots of reading during March!! Make sure to log your child's minutes read at home on their read-a-thon page!

School code: 3139755

**Make sure to order a yearbook for your child! The information was sent home with their mail on Monday. If you need it again, the picture of the flyer is below. Only students who order a yearbook will receive one.

**It’s time to sign up for our Hutchings Checkers Tournament!

**Spring Pictures are March 7. Only students who have purchased a spring picture package will have their picture taken. Spring picture information came home with your child on Monday, as well.

**Book orders came home today! Please order online by 3/10. clubs.scholastic.com GZKBK

**SAVE THE DATE! Our 2nd grade music program is on Tuesday, April 11. Our class will perform at 5:30pm. Students need to be lined up by their lockers at 5:20pm.

Please don't forget:

I know the weather is wonky but if it's going to be cold, PLEASE make sure your child brings their winter gear each day they may need it, along with a change of shoes! Many kiddos are coming to school with only vests or sweatshirts--no coats!

We celebrate birthdays with non-edible treats in 2nd grade due to numerous allergies! Items like pencils, erasers, and small trinkets are great items for treats! I will still make sure we sing and make your child's day special. Thank you for your cooperation!
