Mrs. Burch's Weekly Update (12/2)

Hi, families! I hope you had a great week! If your family does not celebrate Christmas, please let me know. We are going to be doing several holiday activites over the next few weeks, so I just want to be sensitive to families that do not celebrate so I can make adjustments. Thank you!

I sent the December book order home yesterday. This is a quick turn-around because I want to make sure books arrive before Christmas! Orders are due on Wendesday, December 7, by noon!! MAKE SURE to check SHIP TO HOME when you check out, if you want to make sure books arrive by Ch7ristmas! Scholastic guarantees that if we place the order on December 7 and you select "ship to home" they will deliver by December 23! Books make great gifts! Each time you order from Scholastic, you help our classroom earn points to purchase books! Thank you for all your support! Happy Reading! :) orders.scholastic.com/GZKBK

There is a Cottage Inn Fundraiser on Monday! Help earn funds for our PTO and skip making dinner! Make sure to use code HUTCHINGS for your order to be included in the fundraiser!

Tuesday is a Late Start day! School will begin 1.5 hours later at 10:15 am. Dismissal is the same time.

We need some items for our Holiday Activities! Please see the sign-up! Thank you in advance for your donations!

We are still in need of individually wrapped snacks for our classroom morning snack bin. Thank you in advance for your donations!

PLEASE make sure your child brings their winter gear each day, along with a change of shoes! We need to make sure kiddos have gear to play in the snow. We still have kids coming to school without coats! PLEASE remind them they need their gear. Some families find it helpful to leave a pair of snowpants and boots at school. Whatever works is great!

Next week is the last week of the Hutchings Canned Food Drive! Each class that donates 200 or more items earns a movie/electronics day in their classroom! So 200 items is our goal! We currently have 151 items! The class who donates the highest amount of items to the food drive will be treated to an extra prize! The winning class will choose between a pizza party or silly string party! We have one spirit days left--Hawaiian Spirit Day is this Friday (Dec. 2nd) and Crazy Hair Day is next Friday (Dec 9th)! Please bring a can to participate! Click the link above for more info.
